What we collect.

Depending on how you use vaygo, we may collect information you provide directly and information generated while using the service.

• Full name, mobile number and email address
• Account details and authentication information
• Pickup points, destinations, travel dates, routes and booking preferences
• Passenger, carpool and trip related information you choose to provide
• Messages or support requests sent to vaygo
• Payment and transaction information where applicable
• Device, app, log and technical information required for security, analytics and service reliability

Why we use it.

Your information is used to operate and improve vaygo. This includes creating and managing accounts, processing ride requests, coordinating carpooling, confirming bookings, communicating with you, preventing fraud and providing customer support.

Sharing a ride requires limited sharing.

When you choose to participate in a carpool or shared journey, certain trip details may be shared with relevant participants, drivers or operational partners to coordinate the ride safely and effectively.

We do not intentionally expose more personal information than is reasonably required for that purpose.

Who may receive your data.

We may share information with service providers and operational partners that help us run vaygo, including drivers, fleet operators, payment providers, communication providers, cloud infrastructure providers and analytics or security services.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the public, or in connection with a business restructuring, acquisition or similar transaction.

If you choose Google Sign In.

When you sign in using Google, we receive information made available through the permissions you approve, which may include your name, email address and a unique account identifier. We use that information to create or authenticate your vaygo account.

We do not receive your Google password.

Location only where the service needs it.

If the mobile application requests location access, the purpose is to support relevant travel, pickup, route or service functionality. You can manage device permissions through your device settings, although some features may not work as intended without required access.

We do not keep everything forever.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements and protect the security of vaygo and its users.

Keeping data protected.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

You have choices.

Subject to applicable law and the nature of the information involved, you may request access, correction or deletion of certain personal information, withdraw permissions through your device or account settings, or contact us with privacy related questions.

Not designed for children.

vaygo is not intended for users who are not legally permitted to use the relevant service under applicable law. If we become aware that personal information has been collected inappropriately, we may take steps to remove it.

Privacy can evolve.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes or legal requirements evolve. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
